U.S. Drug-Testing Rules Do Not Translate Overseas by Danielle Urban

On December 8, the Society for Human Resource Management published an article by Fisher & Phillips partner Danielle Urban.

In this article, Urban explains how US drug testing laws, which allow employers to perform pre-employment, post-accident, and random drug testing, largely do not carry over to other countries. Indeed, despite the wide latitude US employers are provided in this area, attempting to undertake similar procedures in other countries could land these employers in some trouble.

Urban provides helpful tips and guidance for employers when it comes to determining whether and how to perform drug-testing overseas.
