ALBUQUERQUE (KRQE) – Silent Falcon, which has created a drone in Albuquerque, is working to get it to the market.
“It’s been a long time, but we’re almost there,” said company president John W. Brown in a news release.
Currently, the locally-made drones can only be purchased outside the country because in the U.S., the planes must be FAA certified.
Silent Falcon drones can fly for 12 hours at a time at 25 knots, with camera and sensors installed, according to the release.
The company is currently working on their last three test planes, which are expected to be delivered to test sites by May.
